We are going to start this description off with a warning. This magnet has blood blister inducing strength with over 110 pounds of force. Keep your fingers out of the way when you attach it to solid steel. Once attached the magnet won’t move. We recommend painters tape to protect finished surfaces, otherwise you do risk scratching during removal. Cars, implements, beams, ductwork, this will stick to to any magnetic surface. With thinner metal there is less holding power, but it can still be a great solution. We use ours on steel siding with painters tape. It’s a great option for suspended ceilings and we often mount our cameras upside down. Created by our good friend Michael Lohr, the magnet sleeve is 3D printed and this is a very functional solution for many steel mounting applications. Base diameter: 2” Height: 2.5” The ball head is secured with Loctite which can be removed with a little force.
ClampMonstr Camera Clamp
Over the years, we have built extensive clamp collection and tried everything. This is one of the best! The main bracket is solid aluminum. There are four ¼”x20 mounting points which allow a wide range of camera angles. The removable ball head can be positioned on the end of the screw, the angled portion of the frame and both flat sections. As far as clamps go this one is very sturdy and versatile. A very unique feature is the dial screw on the frame of the clamp. This allows you to mount a camera at any horizontal angle, if you decide you don’t want to use the ball head, which would give you more rigid support in various situations.
The clamp attaches to round or flat objects up to 2 ⅜” diamater.
The chrome screw may rust a little outdoors, which will not affect the performance of the clamp.
Drill Mountster Auger for Wood Posts and Rails
We don't offer an endless collection of mounts and accessories. We have proven solutions which see daily use at our project sites. If you have a wood pole, post, 2x4, 4x4, deck railing, tree or roof trusses, this is a great choice. If you don't think you need it now, like a corkscrew, it will be nice to have when the day comes with a perfectly positioned utility pole. If given an option, this is the go to choice in our mount collection. A few twists and this becomes a very solid mount.
360° camera rotation and 135° tilt
Heat treated auger prevents the sharp point and threads from wearing over time.
3.5 oz. measuring 4" x 2.5" x 1"
Like our clamp collection we have tried many suction cups over the years. This one is very suitable for any small camera. We like using suction cups on windows for interior construction as typically windows are not touched until final cleaning. Often a clamp or other mount may need to be moved when drywall is going up, painting, trimwork, etc. Having a suction cup is often a perfect solution. This would also be a great mount on an interior car window for a drive lapse which we often mount a camera upside down, near the rearview mirror. We would not recommend this suction cup for any surface other than glass or for exterior vehicle use. The Delkin Fat Gecko has more holding strength, but is a more costly alternative. The suction cup diameter is 3.5 inches and the overall height, or length, depending on the orientation and tilt of the head is 5.25 inches.
