Crowdsourced Time Lapse - Progressions - Series - Comparisons - Memories

EasyLapse is a phone holder which makes it easy to capture repeatable photos or video in the same location, with the same alignment, perspective and point-of-view.

EasyLapse is our answer for people with a very basic camera need. They wish to capture a photo daily, weekly, monthly, scheduled or spontaneously. Any time lapse camera will accommodate these scenarios. However, there are applications where a camera may not be necessary. Changing seasons, one time event documentation, before and after transformations or a slideshow gallery of images.

Other uses... crowdsourced time lapse. Put a holder up at a scenic point, a resort, ski hill, etc. people can take photos to be stitched into an ongoing time lapse. Scout camp GPS points, find the coordinates and take a picture. Tourist landmarks, sunrise over a lake or photo location scavenger hunts. EasyLapse helps you create compelling photo galleries and simple time lapse videos.

EasyLapse is an alignment device with one side for a phone camera and the shelf side is a perch for a GoPro, Insta360, mirrorless or other camera. A camera supported by the ledge has the same perspective and angle as a phone and the shelf allows rear screen visibility.

Construction progression from start to finish can also be an EasyLapse. Maybe you don't need every detail. Maybe you live a distance away from your dream home site and simply wish to have your builder text you weekly progress updates. Mount an EasyLapse to a utility pole, tree, fence or post and document your dreams becoming reality.

Crowdsourced Time Lapse

Photo stations for user participation with uploaded images added to an ongoing time lapse. Capture progression over time, nature, points of interest, scenic overlooks, scavenger hunts. EasyLapse is a tool for meaningful collaboration and lasting contribution! User photos could be sent in a text or email to a designated DIY recipient. Alternatively, we have developed a low cost QR code upload system to collect images and create an ongoing time lapse.

From EasyLapse to #EasyLapse, a phone holder is precise and becomes a photo destination. What if your destination isn't planned or a holder is not convenient. This is where EasyLapse becomes a technique and it's free and available to anyone at any time. Use what's available to place your phone in the same location repeatedly. The corner of a house or hotel window, a deck railing or a 2x4 attached to a tree.

EasyLapse can be mounted, with included screws and t-25 Torx bit, to a horizontal or vertical wood railing, post, fence, deck, wall stud, etc. It could also be mounted with 1/4” bolts, zip-ties, wire and adhesive (not included). Currently EasyLapse is a 3D printed product. We use ASA weather resistant filament for the solid colors and PLA filament for multi-colored holders recommended for indoor/protected applications. Colors may vary.
